Answers
1.
How can I take the Single Course Exam? What are the requirements?
Answer: To
be eligible for the Single Course Exam, you must have only one failed course
remaining from previous semesters. To apply, you must fill out a petition and
submit it to the Student Affairs Office. You cannot take the Single Course Exam
if you have failed the course due to absenteeism (lack of attendance) or have
not taken the course before. Fulfillment of the attendance requirement and
having previously taken the course are mandatory (Only for Final Year
Students).

How can I take the Make-up Exam (Mazeret Sınavı)? What are the requirements?
Answer: Make-up
exams are only organized for mid-term exams (Vize/Ara Sınav). To be eligible
for a make-up exam, you must have a valid excuse, and this excuse must be
supported by a document. You must fill out a petition along with the supporting
document and submit it to the Student Affairs Office.
3.
After graduation, can a family member or friend collect my Temporary Graduation
Certificate or Diploma?
Answer: For
someone other than the student to collect the Temporary Graduation Certificate
or Diploma, a notarized power of attorney (vekaletname) is strictly
required.
4.
What do I need to do for course exemption (muafiyet)?
Answer: If
you have transferred from another university or have studied at a university
before, you must bring your transcript and then fill out an exemption petition
to submit to the Student Affairs Office. (You need to contact Student Affairs
for the application deadlines).
5.
How can I obtain my Temporary Graduation Certificate?
Answer: You
can graduate if you have no failed courses. To receive your Temporary
Graduation Certificate, you must have the clearance form signed and submitted,
and then hand in your Student ID to the Student Affairs Office. If you have
lost your Student ID, you must publish a notice in a local newspaper and bring
a copy of the notice to the Student Affairs Office.

How can I obtain my Diploma?
Answer: If
you have graduated and have not previously received a Temporary Graduation
Certificate, you can obtain your diploma by visiting the Student Affairs
Office, signing the clearance form, and submitting your Student ID. If you have
lost your Student ID, you must publish a notice in a local newspaper and bring
a copy of the notice to the Student Affairs Office. If you have already
received your Temporary Graduation Certificate: You must bring and submit your
Temporary Graduation Certificate to the Student Affairs Office when you come to
collect your diploma. If you have lost your Temporary Graduation Certificate,
you must publish a notice in a local newspaper and submit a copy of the notice
to the Student Affairs Office.

I lost my Student ID; how can I get a new one?
Answer: You
can get a new one by applying and filling out a petition at the Student Affairs
Office.
8.
I changed my phone number, and my exam results are not coming via SMS. How can
I update my number?
Answer: The
student can log in to the student automation system, go to the General
Information – Contact Information section, and update their number there.
9.
Can I update my profile picture through the automation system?
Answer: You
can change your profile photo after logging into the Student Automation System.
However, the Student Affairs Office may reject the photo if it deems it
unsuitable for official purposes. If it is suitable, they will approve it, and
your profile photo will be changed.
10.
Where do we get the gown and cap for the graduation ceremony?
Answer: You
can get the gown and cap by applying to the Student Affairs Office
approximately one week before the graduation ceremony and submitting your
student ID. Students who do not return the gown and cap after the graduation
ceremony cannot retrieve their student ID cards. These students will not be
able to receive their Temporary Graduation Certificate or diploma, even if they
have officially graduated.
11.
How can I freeze (suspend) my registration?
Answer: You
must fill out and submit a petition for registration suspension to the Student
Affairs Office. The petition will be reviewed; if the excuse for suspension is
deemed appropriate, it will be accepted, and the student will be notified.
12.
How can I withdraw (cancel) my registration?
Answer: You
must fill out and submit a petition for registration withdrawal to the Student
Affairs Office, and your registration will be canceled.
13.
I received a lower grade than expected on the exam. What should I do?
Answer: You
should apply to the Student Affairs Office and submit a petition to object to
your exam grade. If the Course Instructor deems it appropriate, the exam paper
will be reviewed, and the student will be informed of the outcome and reason.
If an error is found, it will be corrected.
